The dance performance expresses the beginning, the joy of life, and the loss through bodies of nine dancers. Since the biggest influence for this dance performance was the loss of choreographers sister, this dance is transfused with silence and reverie. In the space dancers look like small and different pieces of the same unit who are searching and finding self and others. There are 2 parts in this piece. In the first part there is life and fight; the
second part is about leaving the world, life, and people, who stay there and have to face the loss.

The performance is characterized by recognizable choreography by Barbara Bourget represented by Vancouver Dance Theatre “Kokoro dance” style which combines western dance techniques with Japanese flat dance style. A word “kokoro” in Japanese language means “soul”, “heart”, “spirit”. Barbara Bourget and Jay Hirabayashi create provocative, full of ascetic forms performances in “Kokoro dance” theatre. During the dozen years of creative activity they have already built over a hundred performances. Performances of this troupe are held in various theatres, schools, jazz clubs. “Kokoro dance” has toured through United States, many European countries, participated in the International Modern Dance Festival in Lithuania.

The performance “Tabula Rasa” is another successful intercultural AURA dance project in 2007 prized with “Fortune”award for creative expressions of modern dancing searches.

The dancers demonstrated strong technique.  … AURA delivered a performance that was a VIDF highlight. Lithuanian dancers fascinated everyone with performances.
