The surreal dance performance, inspired by the ideas of Cubism and SuprematismCubism ideas in the 21st century? Why today?

The inspiration source of the choreography – people, obsessed by one idea, who had provoked and experienced revolutions in art personally. Cubists, futurists, expressionists or modernists, they all are united by the same thing – personal revolutions.

The man of the 21st century is looking to the reality from one perspective, while Cubism is trying to observe the reality from different angles at the same time. The performance White on White invites the audience to look at the dance from the visual arts perspective or to look at the visual arts from the dance perspective. It is kind of transfer or translation of ideas from one source to another source.

There are no more revolutions in the 21st century. All that we do is just the pale mix. Today’s reality is lacking the wind of radical movements. So at least what we can do is to download the spirit of the overturn through the dance. /Hygin Delimat/
